    Verdict

TROPICAL BEAT was always playing catch-up after missing the break in the Britannia Handicap last month and William Buick wasn't over-vigorous on him in the closing stages. But he stayed on strongly, nevertheless, and still finished ahead of several of these. Blinkers are now replaced by a visor and, though he is bit more exposed than some, John Gosden's colt is fancied to get back to winning ways. Sir Michael Stoute's yard looks to be back on an even keel so lightly-raced Yarmouth winner Albaasil could be interesting on his handicap debut while Aussie ace Hugh Bowman is interesting jockey booking for last month's Sandown runner-up Anoint. Roman Eagle may prove a bit better than a handicapper in time but may just need this.
