Strut is taken to come out on top in this Group 3 event, with Prince of Light, Ans Bach and Art Market out to make things tough for her. Roger Charlton's filly is definitely going the right way, having stepped up on her Newbury fifth behind the useful Silca's Sister to gain back-to-back victories at Windsor and back at Newbury where she got the better of Sweet Afton in Listed company. Both of those wins were over the minimum distance, but the way that she picked up late to score last time suggests that she is very much ready for this return to six furlongs. She is coming on in leaps and bounds and can complete the hat-trick en-route to a possible crack at the Cornwallis Stakes in October. Prince of Light did us a favour when winning a decent nursery at York last time and is another that is going the right way. Mark Johnston's charge has earned his right in this line-up and will not be disgraced. Ans Bach displayed a smart turn of foot to beat two subsequent winners over the course and distance in July and could be open to tons of improvement, while Art Market did it well enough at Windsor but has more to do here. Clive Brittain won this 12 months ago with Satchem so Yarmouth winner Dubai Typhoon should not be ruled out of calculations entirely, but Strut will be a tough nut to crack and is the pick on form.
