Verdict

Lennon looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways and is taken to do so at the main expense of Alfie's Connection and Primitive Poppy. The selection lost no caste in defeat on his debut when finding just the smart Rasharrow too good at Wetherby before opening his account over course and distance. Not disgraced when a close second behind another useful type Oscar Park in a Listed race at Warwick subsequently, a reproduction of any of those efforts should suffice in this company. None of the three newcomers make much appeal with Bint Sesaro probably the pick of them and a better bet for the forecast may be Alfie's Connection. Keith Reveley's gelding showed improved form over course and distance last time but needs to improve again to trouble the selection, even in receipt of 13lbs. Primitive Poppy has shown signs of ability over shorter trips and is worthy of a mention but Lennon sets a decent standard and gets the vote.
