        Another Deckie is bound to have his backers but a 4lb rise for his latest second behind Galero here over 2m4f looks harsh and a preference is for Silver Sedge, who gets the vote over Brave Effect. The last mentioned has shown progressive form this term, without getting his head in front, running his best race when second to Another Dude over course and distance last time. The nine-year-old has to be respected but also has a 4lb rise to overcome and a safer bet looks to be Silver Sedge. The six-year-old lost no caste in defeat behind Torkingking at Newcastle last month and duly went one better when making a successful return to the same venue the following month. The handicapper has seen fit to raise the son of Aristocracy 11lbs for that but that seems fair and he gets the vote to follow up. Richard Fahey's Wing Commander has been given a break since disappointing last time and warrants respect along with Sue Bradburne's Bodfari Signet. Silver Sedge has an obvious chance though and is taken to win again.
