Verdict

Ouninpohja is taken to score his first win of the season in this classy Listed affair, although he faces stiff opposition from a number of sources. Uninominal is six pounds better off with Karl Burke's Alarm for a neck defeat on his seasonal debut at Hamilton, and with ground conditions in his favour, looks sure to take advantage. He was unstoppable last season as he won five consecutive races and the ground at Hamilton will have been a bit slower than he prefers. Akarem proved that Hamilton win was no fluke when scoring at a big price at Ascot, but may lack a bit of pace on this fast ground. Like Ouninpohja, Im Spartacus made rapid strides last season, but he hasnt been seen in over a year, and this ground may also be on the fast side. Foreign Affairs has ground conditions in his favour, and comes here fit after a pipe opener at Newmarket. He is now eight however, and may not be the force of old. Ouninpohja is taken to register his first success of the season.
