Verdict

ARABIC HISTORY won a couple of minor bumpers on quick ground before finding Cheltenham on softer going just too much for him though his latest effort was in a Listed contest. He doesn't have a jumping pedigree but that's rarely a concern for one from his yard and looks to have been found a winning opportunity. Apterix is the only one with an official rating and hasn't performed badly in his last two starts over timber while Gilnockie has shown some promise in bumpers but will probably do better when tackling longer trips. Bertie Moon has won four times on the Flat and looks just the type to make a hurdler so he could be the one to benefit if the selection doesn't come up to scratch.
