In depth

Verdict

LOVE MARMALADE has been raised 4lb for his victory here last month where he landed some tasty bets. Though this is a better race he's the only one in winning form and can complete a double. He had Corton Lad just over two lengths back in third but the latter is 7lb better off so should get much closer. Ultimate is better known as a jumper but won over this trip at Catterick in October though his stable may have a better chance with Ever Fortune, who is just 3lb higher than April's Pontefract success. Northside Prince hasn't won since 2010 though he's been runner-up often enough and Dance King has finished a long way last on his two latest starts, a remark that also applies to Aryal though he's been racing in much better company. Hero's Story is still a maiden and hasn't run since October.
