Verdict

Finn Class is very consistent and will be difficult to keep out of a place but Ifwecan didn't enjoy the soft ground at Hamilton last time. The latter's stablemate King Of Macedon has also performed better on quicker ground but Lord Of The Nile made all over 7f at Catterick then failed to last out over 1m2f at Ripon and will be more at home over this trip. Giant Samurai was well supported in his first two runs but failed to show anything then he landed a Wolverhampton maiden at 20/1. The lack of a recent run shouldn't be a problem and he's one to watch. TWIN APPEAL was caught on the line in heavy going at Doncaster then made no mistake on fast ground here a few days later when Beautiful Stranger occupied the runners-up spot. David Barron's charge is improving fast and a 6lb rise shouldn't preclude another success. The Grumpy Gnome showed glimpses of ability in his first season and his trainer will find a race for him somewhere.
