    Verdict

A number of these are stepping up in trip and may improve for the extra distance, including Sunglider and Yangtze, while Leicester winner Blakeney Point is respected, but preference is for REGAL MONARCH (NAP). He won with any amount in hand at Ripon last time, and may well still be ahead of the handicapper. He can complete a hat trick by taking this decent-looking contest. Roger Varian’s West Drive shaped well for the step up to a mile and a half last time and is the main danger.
