In depth

Verdict

LOMBARDY BOY was having only his second start since 2013 when winning easily at Huntingdon. He can make up for lost time and go in again in this lower grade. Icanmotor went close at Uttoxeter in October while Diego Suarez was placed yet again when third at Newcastle as he still searches for his first win over hurdles. Hillview Lad wasn’t beaten far despite finishing only fifth at Wetherby behind runner-up Cadgers Hole but the latter has run poorly since. Catterick winner Running Wolf has been struggling recently but is back on a winning mark.
