In depth

Verdict

Mwaleshi is a rare winner nowadays but wasn’t beaten far when runner-up over 2m4f here last time. Call It On scored at Wetherby in November but hasn’t raced since and stout stayer PHARE ISLE is preferred. The latter scored over track and trip at this time last year and is back on a winning mark having found only Moidore too good over these hurdles last time. Quinto faded into third after the last at Carlisle when starting favourite and will be looking to make amends while Buckontupence finished closer over a shorter trip here last month having slipped down the weights.
