Verdict

A poor contest where a chance is taken on LYSTER, while Lord Crewe and Glebehall Bay are others short-listed. The selection is no more than tentative and he returned from a lengthy lay-off when well beaten on Lingfield's Polytrack last month. His form back in 2008 would give him every chance of being heavily involved from today's mark of 98, and he acts with cut, so after that pipe-opener he may well be able to show much more this time and we hope that is enough. Lord Crewe scored from a 6lb lower mark at Ffos Las in January, but was then well beaten back there more recently. On that evidence he will have his work cut out to add another win to his CV today. Pauline Robeson has her runners in form, so Rock Wren may be capable of showing much more than in recent times, while Glebehall Bay is 11lbs higher than when scoring on heavy ground at Uttoxeter and may not be quite so suited to this better ground today. Aim For The Stars is interesting now handicapping for the first time and money for him may be significant, though we will suggest Lyster to small stakes.
