Verdict

An open heat for the novices, with a few last time winners who have not been too favourably treated by the assessor, and of those STICK TOGETHER may just be capable of following up, while Lady Bling Bling, Guydus and Dream Garden are among others with claims. The Malcolm Jefferson-trained selection broke her duck at Market Rasen in a similar sort of contest and has gone up a harsh-enough 11lbs for it. However, there is hope. She stays well beyond today's trip, which may well be a positive as it is likely to be run at a decent pace. She also acts well with cut in the ground, and her recent form suggests that she has really got to grips with the game, so we will tentatively suggest her. Lady Bling Bling caused a 20-1 shock at Kempton last time, her first sign of decent form. She may be good enough to follow-up, and she won't be that price again today, but with a 13lbs rise she will do well to add another win this time. Guydus has risen by 8lbs after a Southwell win over a similar trip and she acts on the ground and has plenty of stamina, so will be competitive. Chris Bealby's Dream Garden also stays further than this and acts with cut. He has dropped to an attractive mark and can't be dismissed lightly if you take him on. Galoshes has ability and is open to improvement, though he is not quite seeing out his races, while Mr Logistics has A P McCoy booked, but the champ will need to work even more magic than normal looking at this one's form if he is to record another win. Stick Together is the suggestion here.
