    Verdict

The shortlist contains Tapa, Flaran, Bodden Bay and Cyfrwys, and we will side with Cyfrwys.. The synopses: Lady Londra is on a course and distance winning mark; Tapa was not beaten far off today's mark over course and distance in July, and should be sharper for a recent run; Flaran is on a Turf winning mark and, following a fair September Goodwood run, holds chances; Bodden Bay is five pounds below a winning course and distance mark from April and should be sharper for a recent run; Cyfrwys is now two pounds below the mark from which she won at Chepstow in June. And Vlasta Weiner's seven-pounds penalty for a seven-furlong Lingfield win will not make life easy, Marsad, State Dilemma and Transaction have all been disappointing lately, the last-named so much so that he has dropped 29 pounds in the ratings since March; Rapid River won a Southwell claimer last time, and Kallista's Pride is back to below a winning Turf mark and has run well lately form a higher Turf mark and can go well. Overall, though, given also that she seemed to take to cheekpieces last time, we will side Cyfrwys.
