In the nursery a narrow vote goes to Possessed, with her main dangers given as Fregate Island and Time For Life. Possessed returned from a break to win at Wolverhampton last time and a mark of 74 could be reasonable for her handicap debut. Annabelle Ja improved as the Turf season went on and cannot be disregarded on her all-weather debut. Quince was beaten off a slightly higher mark over course and distance last time, but is held by Fregate Island based on that form. The latter certainly has to be considered, while Time For Life's best run to date came in his only run at a mile at Newmarket, and he is a danger to all based on that run. Outlook was beaten in a claimer last time, while it has to be of interest that Mark Johnston has elected to send Dream Mountain all the way south for this run, and, finally, it is disappointing that Pelham Crescent, who is a son of Giant's Causeway, has yet to build on early-season promise. Finally, Casablanca Minx has shown improvement of late, but we feel that she needs to find a bit more to score. Overall, then, the vote goes to Possessed.
