In depth

Verdict

Magnifico gets the call over Fill The Bunker, with Miss Pebbles and Elegant Eskimo others to note. Magnifico has not had too much time to settle in at Martin Pipe's yard, having finished second to a more strongly fancied stablemate at Auteuil on his final start in France last month. Prior to that he was a good winner at Enghien, and although having to shoulder a penalty, is considered one to follow. Any market support would boost our confidence, and we take him to get off to a winning start. Irish point-to-point winner Fill The Bunker can be relied upon to be fit enough to run well, while Miss Pebbles did nothing wrong on her debut here and should have no problem with the slightly longer trip. She is another to consider then along with Elegant Eskimo, a promising third at Towcester last time. For the winner we return to Magnifico to get off to a flyer.
