In depth

Verdict

Six Wives has been in good form since returning from a break, scoring at Wolverhampton and Southwell. But this is her first start around here for more than a year and she may not be able to match strides with MARY'S PET. John Akehurst's filly has tremendous early pace and put it to good use to beat Cape Melody over this C&D earlier in the month. Though the runner-up is 3lb better off today, we fancy the placings to be confirmed as the selection has the plum draw again. Caramelita may be best of the rest but looks held by several of these on recent form.
