In depth

Verdict

Ashva finished third on fast ground at Redcar in September and it remains to be seen how he handles the Fibresand, but Bryan Smart's runners usually have no problem with today's surface so Roninski could figure on his return to action. Fine Style showed nothing in two starts on turf last year and X Rated was a well beaten second here a week ago. However, the newcomer CARROWBEG cost 120,000gns and it would be no surprise if Mark Johnston's half-brother to 10 winners proved good enough on his debut.
