In depth

Verdict

Chookie Royale has run well here but is better at Wolverhampton. Grey Mirage, on the other hand, has now won three times around here and should confirm recent running with George Guru and Alfred Hutchinson. George Guru subsequently had Highland Knight back in sixth when scoring over course and distance but Andrew Balding's seven-year-old is now 12lb better off and capable of decent form on his day. Frontier Fighter gave weight and a beating to Noble Citizen at Southwell last time while Sirius Prospect has won two of his four starts on the all-weather and won a Listed race at Kempton when last seen. He can start slowly so a high draw may have done him a favour. ANACONDA is back over his best trip after two runs over 1m2f, in which he wasn't disgraced. Tom Dascombe's gelding can come good again, though Captain Cat isn't to be ignored on his run against Robin Hoods Bay here last time.
