In depth

Verdict

Fyvie gets a fair bit of weight from the rest and rates a good value, while Grain Of Truth and Nice Tune have to be respected. Nice Tune is a consistent type that can be relied upon to run her race. However, the assessor has taken note of her strengths and she now has something to prove from the top of the weights. Grain Of Truth looked a useful prospect when winning at Ripon in May and, as she represents the power of Sir Michael Stoute's yard, she is sure to be a popular choice. However, her limitations have been exposed on a couple occasions and she now needs to post an improved display. Therefore, we go with the improving Fyvie, who has gone from strength to strength in each of her three previous outings and has the scope to take this step up in class in her stride.
