In depth

Verdict

This looks a fair opportunity for Waterline Twenty to make the most of this ease in grade, while Roman Quest and Scarlet Flyer can also do their bit to make this a good test. Scarlet Flyer has posted a couple of good efforts of late and shapes as if his turn is not too far away. It will be interesting to see if his supporters try and recoup some of last week's Epsom loses and he is one to monitor closely in the betting. The penny has started to drop with Roman Quest and he also comes here on the back of improved form. Hughie Morrison does well with this type of animal and he looks the main threat to the selection. However, a seventh furlong is expected to suit Waterline Twenty if he has inherited any of his dam's racing qualities. David Evan's charge was far from disgraced in finishing third at Pontefract on Tuesday and is fancied to deliver on the promises this time.
