        Verdict

        The short list contains First Princess, First Buddy and Buddies Girl, with the selection being First Princess. After meeting trouble in running, First Princess finished to some effect at Kempton last time and, stepped up in trip today, she looks set to go well. First Buddy showed promise despite meeting trouble in running at Newbury on soft going last time and is respected today. Buddies Girl's best form, including in a course and distance maiden two runs ago, bring her right into it. Finally, Sharpazmax is entitled to improve on his debut effort, in which he showed a modicum of promise and Best Selection is among the interesting newcomers, although the betting market might reveal more on that score. Overall, though, we will side with First Princess.
