Verdict

Borthwick Girl should confirm Kempton superiority over Baltic Dip but both may struggle to get the better of Clive Brittain's Party Boss, who is taken to complete a six timer. The selection has been a revelation on the all-weather this winter with wins at all three venues, recording his smartest success when landing the Spring Cup here over seven furlongs last month. The return to further should not hinder the son of Silver Patriarch, who is hard to oppose. Brecon Beacon held his own in decent company last term but lack of a recent outing is of concern for a colt that hails from the Paul Cole stable that has been rather quiet of late. Borthwick Girl and Baltic Dip both made their reappearance in Kempton's Masaka Stakes with Brian Meehan's filly finishing a close third behind Vista Bella and Baltic Dip over five lengths further back in fifth place. Those positions should be upheld but Bothwick Girl needs to improve and show that she handles the surface to trouble the selection. Diamonds And Dust comes from a stable in form but has a lot to do at the weights and a safer bet looks to be Party Boss, who is taken to win again.
