Verdict

Despite this being a Class E Median Auction, it is probably the most competitive race on the card, with several of these open to improvement. One to catch the eye on her debut at Newmarket was Snow Goose, who is a half-sister to six winners including useful stayer Dusky Warbler. Two of the runners to come out of that race have performed with credit. The third Wavertree Girl has since filled the same position in a Group 3, while the sixth Broughton Bounty filled third spot behind two useful colts here last week, with the fourth horse six lengths away. While she will undoubtedly improve for a stiffer test in time, she is taken to prove too strong for her rivals. Violet Avenue showed plenty of promise for the future when chasing home the more experienced Munaawashat at Ayr last week. She is a winner waiting to happen, but this half-sister to eight winners may have to wait a little longer to get her head in front, while both Sweet Pickle and Turkish Delight showed enough on their debuts to be of interest. The form of Trompe L'Oiel's debut at Newmarket has already been given a boost by the runner-up that day, Russian Dance, who has since gone in at Windsor. She can only improve and may provide the biggest threat to Snow Goose, who gets a confident vote.
