Verdict

Quite a competitive handicap with the likes of Frontier and Talldark'N'Andsome in the field, but the vote goes to Sky Quest, whose second to Fleet Of Light at Sandown was made to look a decent effort over the weekend, as the third in that race Brilliant Red, made the in-form Barking Mad pull out all the stops at Newmarket on Sunday. Prior to that effort the selection had won with something in hand over this trip at Bath and is clearly at the top of his form at present, so off just a 4lbs higher mark than the Bath success, he looks the one to be with. Talldark'N'Andsaome comes from a stable in fine form, and is back down to a mark he has won off in the past. The recent rain will be in his favour and he should go well. Frontier has been in good form of late and despite being raised 3lbs for getting beat last time, he is still well treated on his three-year-old form, where he won off a 10lbs higher mark. He will be a danger to all. Martin Bosley does well with his small string and the victory of Absinther at Windsor on Monday evening confirmed the well-being of his team. Silver Prophet does have something to find with Frontier, using Barking Mad as a yardstick, but as that run was Silver Prophet's first for six-months, he can be expected to have improved in the meantime. He could go well at a decent price, but Sky Quest is the one they all have to beat.
