Verdict

WATE AND SEA had shown some promise in bumpers but nothing over hurdles until a surprise victory at Ballinrobe where she appeared to win with a bit in hand. She's up 6lb but that shouldn't prevent a follow-up if in the same mood. Drive The Bus, from a yard going well, was heavily supported in a Bellewstown handicap last month but couldn't handle the very fast ground and finished well beaten. Daigreen hasn't run well since a decent effort in a Gowran handicap in June and though Chief Of Panama showed some slight improvement at Limerick his overall form is very moderate.
