In depth

Verdict

Il Fenomeno, who has won eight times on the Flat and over hurdles, has done nothing in eight starts over fences to suggest he'll make a chaser though this doesn't look the toughest of races. Time To Work did very well over timber last year, ending with a victory in a tough Down Royal handicap in November. A run on the level at last week's Galway Festival should have put him straight for his chasing debut and he's an interesting recruit. SEEFOOD was better than these over hurdles though he didn't win very often. He was in the process of gaining his first victory over fences when falling at the last here three weeks ago and should gain compensation. Dancing Roe was well beaten on his chasing bow in October but that was on very heavy ground and he's expected to do better.
