Verdict

LUCKY PAT had been showing decent form before landing a bumper at last week's Galway Festival. He looks certain to make a jumper and will take some beating despite being penalised. The other entry carrying a penalty, Silver Shuffle, a winner on the Flat, started off quite well over timber but has shown no improvement and has now had 20 starts though today's longer trip could be in his favour. Bawntameena has now had 14 starts over timber and hasn't progressed and though runner-up over this track and trip in June he was beaten a long way. Uachtaran showed a bit of potential over this trip before finding 2m too short at Galway.
