In depth

Verdict

Although the market should be closely watched here, Le Galactico is taken to go one better, with Glasker Mill, Sommelier, and Promise To Be Good all worthy of a mention in the finale. Le Galactico is a half-brother to the stable's leading staying hurdler Crystal D'Ainay and is highly rated by connections, so he will be fancied to step up on his debut second to Creinch at Newbury. That was over a mile and a half, and he will surely improve over this two mile trip. he can make experience count over Nicky Henderson's newcomer Promise To Be Good who is sure to have been taught his job well. Sommelier looked one-paced on his Towcester introduction and comes up against some potentially smart sorts here, while ex-Irish point-to-pointer Glasker Mill is best watched with his trainer reporting that one or two have the cough. Paul Webber definitely knows how to get one ready for these sort of contests, and he has two runners, Cash King and Wotashambles who should both be noted in the market. Cantgeton was very disappointing at Uttoxeter last time and is surely better than that, but Le Galactico shaped very well at Newbury and is the pick.
