    Verdict

A poor contest gets proceedings under way but something has to win and the principals look to be Scutch Mill Indebted and Solway Firth and the vote is given to Scutch Mill. The selection has improved with each run to date and was a fair third behind Art Modem last time out. The step up in trip should suit and from what looks a good draw he will be hard to beat.Indebted rates the main danger as he was a good second on his debut behind General Jumbo he all also appreciate this longer trip and with his yard continuing in good form he should be noted in the market. Solway Firth is a well bred sort from a top yard and is another to note in the market but he should come into his own over a longer trip in time. The remainder have shown very little and are readily opposed and for the winner we return to Scutch Mill.
