Verdict

TAMASOU is the selection with Support Fund and Buxton also figuring in our thoughts. Alan McCabe is looking to fire in the winners from his new base, and having won recently over course and distance, Tamasou returns to the scene of victory quickly. Connections can have few complaints about the draw. Support Fund is yet to score on the artificial surfaces. Her recent run at Brighton should be safely ignored and she is racing off a 5lb lower mark on this occasion. Buxton does not win often but that said, he does tend to strike at this time of the year so a market watch is advised. Arteus won a weak maiden at the track though has struggled in handicaps. Milne Bay won off a mark of 56 last winter. He has had four months off since his last racecourse start so may just need this. Desert Streak was turned over at short odds at Lingfield so does have something to prove. Musical Script is capable though may need the handicapper to provide a little more assistance. Greystoke Prince shaped with a degree of promise earlier in his career. He is impossible to fancy on his recent lines of form though Walter Swinburn has gone back to basics with him and if the market speaks in his favour, this should not be ignored. Carmanero is in a similar position having shown form on this surface in the past but Tamasou is our selection in a race that requires little in the way of winning.
