Trust Rule drops back in trip here but has the class to take this valuable early season handicap from Blythe Knight and Prince Nureyev. This is a race where four-year-olds have traditionally done well, and we have that tick in the box straight away, while on the ground it is likely to take a horse who has proven stamina to produce the goods in such a big field. A winner of the Garrowby Stakes at York last year over a mile and a half, he also ran well on his last start of the season when second to Dawn Invasion and in an open race he could be up to the task. Blythe Knight also has similar credentials and specialises at this trip. Frankie Dettori takes the mount, and if the Selkirk colt is fully wound up then he would have to have a major chance. Prince Nureyev is drawn high here, which is in his favour, and Rod Millman's gelding is another with ability, who managed to make the Derby line-up last year. This is probably just short of his optimum trip, but he will get every yard and will be staying on up the straight and could make the frame. The selection here though, is Trust Rule.
