Verdict

A large field goes to post for the first on the card but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Gallant Hero, Flame Phoenix and Golden Reward and the confident vote goes to Gallant Hero. The selection was a fair third behind Supreme Dawn last time under similar conditions and he need only reproduce that effort to score. Flame Phoenix rates the main danger he was a fair second behind Fontanesi last time and that form has since ran well under a penalty. He is sure to have come on for the run his first in five months and he has definite place claims. Golden Reward is another that could go well he was a fair fourth on his hurdling debut behind a Blue Americo, he is sure to have learnt from the experience and is another that could go close. Of the remainder Siena Star was a fair sort on the flat and is from a shrewd yard so is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to the more experienced Gallant Hero.
