Verdict

Master Jake is unlikely to be far away again but is proving expensive to follow over fences and is starting to creep up the weights again. UN PROPHETE only failed by a head to complete his hat-trick off his new mark at Leicester and has proving a much better chaser than hurdler. Venetia Williams’ grey can pick up the winning thread again today as Clan Legend has been well beaten twice since scoring at Hexham in December. Ash Park has not been getting any closer and unseated his rider here in January, though did finish ahead of Forest Des Aigles at Carlisle in the autumn.
