      Verdict

A raft of well bred and interesting newcomers go to post so the nomination of Over Sixty can only be tentative. Allfortara and Katalina both shaped well on their respective debuts and are feared. The selection has come out on top once from two photo finishes and is consequently saddled with a penalty but she has shown a likeable attitude as well as signs of greenness. It's the latter that is a cause for optimism as she should improve as she learns more about the game. Allfortara caught the eye in a race won by a better fancied stablemate at Newbury and is from a yard that appears to have a strong hand in this sphere. Katalina ran on well to take second behind a runner from the Alan King yard at Lingfield and is sure to have benefited from that experience. None of Alan Kings' trio can be ruled out whilst Ruby Isabel and Whizz Back are two of the more obvious candidates but it's worth noting that Sawpit Supreme holds an entry for a Grade 2 race at the weekend. The market should shed some light on expectations for their chances and those of many others in the field but we'll put Over Sixty forwards to run for us.
