      Verdict

      Piran has not always been the most straight-forward of animals but, if jumping round, the Evan Williams-trained gelding should add to his tally and he gets the vote ahead of Selection Box and Dad's Army. The last mentioned has been well held in recent starts and is hard to recommend with any confidence. Moneamon has given little sign of encouragement so far, while Oh Really makes his rules debut but has shown little sign of ability in points. Selection Box has been placed once over hurdles from 11 starts and looks the most likely winner should Piran fail to get round but it is impossible to oppose the Evan Williams-trained runner.
