The in-form Gilzine is selected in the finale, with Chita's Flight and Kyper Disco also expected to go close. The last named was flattered to finish second on his reappearance a fortnight ago and, although he should cope with the conditions, he is not one to enthuse too strongly about. He is a long standing maiden and, although not without ability, he has little to find to be a contender here. Chita's Flight won a similar contest at Leicester 19 days ago and has a feasible chance of following up on these terms. He won't mind the ground and is one to carefully monitor in the betting. At longer odds: Chestnut Annie and Freemantle Doctor are also worthy of noting for each-way support. However, Gilzine, who landed a men's open on his reappearance last month, is as versatile as they come and, although he has never yet won over regulation fences, he faces a relatively straightforward task today.
