    Verdict

Newnham won well just six days ago over two miles and with the drop in trip not expected to be a problem, he gets the nod ahead of Theatre Groom, Cumbrian Knight, and the consistent Blue Hills. Jim Boyle's charge is arguably better here in the West Midlands than at Lingfield where he won last time out and he is a straight-forward ride for today's amateur jockey. The stable are in good form and he certainly comes here as the one to beat. Theatre Groom is unexposed on the all-weather and won at a massive 50/1 last time out. He makes his handicap debut today and should be watched in the market for signs of confidence, whilst course and distance winner Blue Hills is consistent and has place claims, although his mark of 57 looks high enough. Cumbrian Knight is a useful dual-performer and with an excellent strike-rate on the all-weather he certainly warrants respect. At a price Jack Rolfe could go well for his in-form stable, however for the winner we will return to Newnham to swoop late once again and land this contest.
