In depth

Verdict

The consistent Lucius Verrus is the pick ahead of Supercast, Sir Douglas and Mistral Sky to name but a few. Lucius Verrus catches the eye back over six furlongs here, having been edged out over a furlong further at Lingfield nine days ago. He took too keen a hold that day, and if settling better, can add to his two recent victories despite creeping up the weights. Supercast put in a much improved performance when just touched off at Kempton last time, and he should make his presence felt, while Sir Douglas, needs to put his recent effort behind him to gain another course-and-distance success. Mistral Sky has flattered to deceive of late and is again worth taking on as he makes a quick reappearance. Nothing else really stands out here, and for the winner we return to Lucius Verrus.
