Dubhe made all to get off the mark on soft going at Sandown last month but will need to improve again to follow up here. A similar comment applies to the once-raced Yabass and Dark Acclaim but Chilean quickened nicely at Chelmsford and would be interesting if translating that form to Turf. Dee Ex Bee was backed to win the Acomb at York after making an impressive winning debut but was never travelling at any stage. He’s better than that but Veejay needs to bridge the gap between handicaps and pattern race company. LEARN BY HEART looked ready for an extra furlong when a staying-on fourth in this grade at Newbury last month. The third has won a Listed contest since so the form looks solid.
