In depth

Verdict

Perfect Story deserves to get her head in front having found one too good in each of her three starts this term but James Toller's mare may have to settle for minor honours again with Paradise Isle looking the most likely winner and getting the vote ahead of Creative Mind. The last mentioned has run two solid races this term and has to be respected but needs to improve on all known form to trouble the selection. Recent Newbury handicap winner Ripples Maid won in Listed race company at Chester last season and has to be respected on the pick of her form, while Leopoldine looks to be going the right way but needs to improve further to trouble the judge. Alderney is less exposed than most of these and could be of interest but it is hard to get away from Paradise Isle. Chris Wall's mare is a consistent and proven performer in this grade and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways.
