Verdict

The John Jenkins-trained CARAMELITA won a maiden on heavy ground at Folkestone in April and has not been disgraced in handicaps on fast ground and the Polytrack in her last two outings so she looks worth backing off a fair mark back on more testing going this afternoon. Bouggie Daize does handle the ground but remains a maiden after eight starts and of more interest may be Feeling Fresh, who represents the in-form Paul Green stable but he is probably better on faster ground. Both of Northern Bolt's successes have come with cut in the ground and he has to be considered off a fair mark but needs to step up on recent form, while recent Leicester winner Rainy Night would prefer faster ground. Jonjo O'Neill's Volito is bred to appreciate plenty of juice in the ground but seemingly prefers it to be quick.
