Verdict

CRUIKADYKE was as green as grass on his debut at York and is open to untold improvement; he gets the vote over the horse he beat at York, Captain Ellis, and Zafisio. The selection was given a great ride by John Egan on debut as whilst it was informative and educational, he also pushed this son of Kyllachy to victory and he should improve markedly. He ran as if already wanting a step up in trip and whilst this mile trip is not assured on breeding, he should get home and hopefully in front. Captain Ellis reopposes and must not be underestimated, whilst Measurement is the most exposed but is rated 92 and sets a fair standard to aim at. Sergeant Pink and Zafisio both won on their second outings on soft ground so conditions should hold little fears, whilst Thousand Miles looks an interesting newcomer. Yorksters Girl completes the field and should be at home over this longer trip however we prefer the claims of Paul Cole's Cruikadyke.
