A tough puzzle to solve with Bogside Theatre deserving a big pot however she may find one too good once again so we will side with BOLLIN FELIX whilst Ascalon is rated a danger. The selection, like many of his family, handles this ground well and was a course and distance winner in similar conditions two runs back. He has been hit by the handicapper for that run but at least that means that he can get into these better and more valuable races. Ascalon won well recently at Newmarket in effortless fashion but he has different ground and a 13lb hike in the weights to deal with, whilst Rosbay and Akarem are on fair marks. Detonator is better than his last run and along with The Betchworth Kid should not be overlooked. The three National Hunt horses need plenty of respect, with Jamie Spencer an eye-catching booking on Souffleur near the bottom of the weights. Pippa Green probably has a tough task off top weight and so we will return to Bollin Felix as the winner.
