With six victories in the last year to his credit, High Secret is yet another example of his trainer's brilliant strategy and he even found him a race at Killarney last time in an amateurs' contest. He's 16lb higher than the start of the season but arrives with an obvious chance. Battersea won twice at Ascot last summer and, though failing to add to his tally, he didn't get the run of the race at Goodwood last time. GABRIAL'S STAR enjoys a bit of give in the ground and any rain will aid his cause. He has won over the course and distance and produced one of his best ever runs in a Listed handicap at Chester last time behind stablemate Gabrial's King so gets the nod to go one better. Blue Wave, who was only just behind in that latter event, looks held but Pressure Point has won four of his last six and should have no problems staying this slightly longer trip.
