      Verdict

      Unless one of the newcomers proves above average, CAGOULE has every chance of making a winning return. He was placed in both starts last year and has little to fear from the remainder with experience. Locky Taylor ran well over track and trip last month before reverting to type with a woeful effort at Ayr and Llandanwg has shown nothing in three starts so far. Ridge Ranger is a half-sister to a handful of winning sprinters and makes more appeal than fellow debutante Katies Joy.
