Water Biscuit will be popular after a couple of placed efforts so far but we will take another with experience in LAURELDEAN SPIRIT to come good second time, while newcomers Pink Symphony and Miss Chaumiere are of interest. The latter is a half-sister to a 6f debut winner and her dam Miss Corniche won over this trip as a juvenile, so she is likely to be able to go well with the yard in form. Pink Symphony is also very well related and cost 400,000 guineas. She won't mind this ground at all, while rain would not inconvenience, and market support would probably be significant. Meanwhile Water Biscuit found just one too good on two occasions at Newmarket and should be suited by this step up to 7f. The most recent of those runs has not worked out any better than reasonably, and so she looks worth taking on. Ghazwah ran in that same maiden at headquarters behind Water Biscuit but with natural improvement from her first she may be able to turn the tables. Other potential significant improvers are likely to be Candleshoe and Calatrava Cape, but we will side with Laureldean Spirit. Richard Fahey's inmate made an eyecatching debut over this trip and on good ground at York and looks likely to be able to find a fair bit more for that experience. She also has a good pitch towards the inside which is another plus for punters and she can take advantage.
