In depth

Verdict

The John Dunlop-trained Race The Ace took the step up to this trip in his stride at Sandown last time and is readily preferred over Sharadi and Pangloss, who have at least shown that they have a race within them somewhere along the line. A case can also be made for Wyoming, who is still open to improvement and looks worth a try at this trip. Not many of the rest have really caught the eye of yet and are hard to recommend. Nevertheless, moves for any should not be dismissed and the clues from the betting are likely to tell their own story. Not least surrounding Race The Ace, who sets the standard officially, according to the BHB ratings, and will rarely be presented with a better chance to carry top weight to victory than this.
