In depth

Verdict

John Gosden's LUNAR VICTORY has proven to be expensive to follow but ran his best race for some time when narrowly beaten by Blissful Moment at Windsor last month, earning a rating of 84, and a reproduction of that level of form will make him hard to beat. Marcus Tregoning's Priors Gold is entitled to come on for his debut outing at Sandown recently and he has to be considered, although a bigger threat may come from Ahaazeeg. John Dunlop's gelding lacks any racecourse experience but the son of Sakhee is bred to be useful and represents a stable that is amongst the winners at present. Gary Moore's Lomitas filly, Pursuit Of Reason, is another newcomer worthy of a mention and any market support for her would be of interest but she will need to be useful to get the better of Lunar Victory.
