Verdict

Last month’s Wood Ditton at Newmarket has a tradition of generating plenty of winners and COGITAL finished third in that contest, despite showing signs of inexperience. Amanda Perrett’s colt may come good in this. Embour was a close-up third over 5f at Newbury on his debut while Honey Man went close at Wolverhampton last month and could also figure. Of those returning to action, Hidden Affair was placed at Doncaster in November and Serjeant Painter ran well at Ascot last summer while Restive Spirit and Motajaasid are both newcomers to note.
